We had the best time working on a styled shoot at The Crest—Winston-Salem’s newest wedding venue that’s seriously worth a visit if you’re planning your big day. It’s this gorgeous mix of historic charm and modern elegance, and the second we stepped inside, we knew we had to create something special.

To show off the venue’s personality, we designed two totally different invitation suites—each one inspired by a different part of the space. One’s bold and romantic, the other soft and airy. Totally opposite vibes, but both equally dreamy.

A Moody Moment at the Carriage House

For the Carriage House, we went with something rich and romantic. The suite featured deep, moody tones and a vellum overlay sealed with wax for that vintage-meets-modern feel. We even designed a fold-open menu and place card combo—because who doesn’t love a little surprise at their seat?

With candlelight, dark green linens, and the warm, cozy vibes of the space, this suite felt like the perfect pick for couples going for a timeless, romantic look with a bit of edge.

A Light & Airy Dream at The Main House

In the Main House, we leaned into a softer look—think pale blues, light greens, and delicate textures. The invitation suite here included a custom die-cut details booklet (seriously, so fun) that couples could use to share their story or weekend plans.

We paired the deckled edge and wax seals to add just enough magic without going overboard. Surrounded by flowing florals and gold flatware, the whole look came together in the prettiest, most effortless way.
