Custom Design, Online Templates, or DIY?

Gonna go ahead and throw this out there: we think everyone should work with a stationer to custom design their invitations and day-of paper goods. Okay, okay that mayyyy be a little biased and there are other options that could be better suited for you. But how do you decide? Start ASAP! 

Following traditional etiquette rules, save the dates should go out three to four months ahead of the wedding, however if guests are spread out far and wide or you’re having a destination wedding, no one will complain about having extra time to plan. If you’re opting for custom invitations, you’ll need to build in at least a month for design, proofing, and production (more if you decide on a specialized print method like letterpress or foil stamping). Basically, there’s no such thing as too much notice. Start early to avoid unnecessary stress at crunch time.

Know the answers to These 3 Questions:

What is your invitation count? Remember – this number is not your guest list count, but how many households you will need to send invitations to! An estimate is okay at this point if you’re working with us – we just need a number to base your proposal on.
